On July 12, Dak Lak Department of Education and Training said that the unit will organize an additional enrollment of 2,738 quotas for the 10th grade of public high schools in the 2026-2027 school year.
Subjects eligible to participate in supplementary enrollment are students who have registered for 10th grade enrollment on the enrollment system but have not been admitted in the official enrollment round; or have been admitted to public and private high schools but have not completed enrollment confirmation within the prescribed time.
Each student is allowed to register a maximum of 2 aspirations, according to the enrollment area. Registration time is until 5 pm on July 14.
The Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak noted that admission consideration is carried out according to the principle of prioritizing nguyện vọng 1 first. Only when the school has not recruited enough quotas will it continue to consider nguyện vọng 2 according to regulations.
The aspirations registered in the official enrollment round will not be reserved. Students who need to participate in the supplementary enrollment round must register newly on the system.
In the 10th grade public high school entrance exam for the 2026-2027 school year, Dak Lak province has 5 specialized schools (including specialized high schools and ethnic minority boarding schools) organizing entrance exams; the remaining schools implement admission consideration.
The whole province has more than 43,000 applications registered for 10th grade entrance, while the total enrollment quota is 39,785 students.
As Lao Dong newspaper has reported, the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province has just announced the benchmark scores for admission to 10th grade public high schools for the 2026-2027 school year for schools considering admission.
After having the results, many parents and students expressed concern about the selection between nguyện vọng. Many students failed nguyện vọng 1 but had enough points to enter the school registering for nguyện vọng 2 but were still not accepted because the school had recruited enough quotas in nguyện vọng 1.
Ms. N.T. N (resident of Tan Lap ward) said that her child achieved 46 points (of which grade 6 achieved 10 points + grade 7 achieved 9 points + grade 8 achieved 9 points + grade 9 (x2) achieved 18 points). Her child registered aspiration 1 for Buon Ma Thuot High School and aspiration 2 for Hong Duc High School.
Although they did not pass nguyện vọng 1 but had enough points to enter nguyện vọng 2, when they came to complete admission procedures, the school still refused to accept them because there were no more quotas.
