Bac Ninh province has just held a meeting to review the progress of investment and construction of a number of university projects in the area south of Cau River, Bac Ninh province.
In particular, according to the latest report, the investment project to build facilities of Foreign Trade University in Dong Nguyen ward, Bac Ninh province has selected a consulting contractor to develop a detailed planning project, the Bac Ninh Planning and Architecture Institute.
At the same time, the school is urging the consulting contractor to develop a detailed planning project, expected to be completed in December 2025.
According to the Resolution dated May 26, 2025 of the People's Council of Bac Ninh province on approving the policy of supporting the provincial budget to invest in the construction of facilities of a number of universities in the province, the expected support capital for the Foreign Trade University project in Bac Ninh is: 250 billion VND.
Mr. Le Xuan Loi - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Department of Construction, the Department of Finance and relevant agencies and units to coordinate and guide to speed up the procedures for implementing the Foreign Trade University project in Bac Ninh and university projects in the area south of Song Cau. Strive to start construction in the first quarter of 2026 at the latest.
It is known that Foreign Trade University is a high-quality human resource training institution for the State, but currently the facilities and campus of the school in 3 campuses (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Quang Ninh) are still limited.
It is expected that within the next 10 years, the scale of the whole school will continue to increase. Therefore, expanding the training facilities of Foreign Trade University in Bac Ninh province is appropriate and necessary.
According to the Decision approving detailed planning tasks in Decision No. 127/QD-UBND of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province dated February 20, 2025, the detailed planning area of Foreign Trade University in Dong Nguyen ward (Bac Ninh province) has an area of about 33.66 hectares.
The estimated cost of implementing phase 1 is about VND1,150 billion.
In recent times, Bac Ninh province has always paid attention to developing policies to attract investment, creating the most favorable conditions for universities to implement projects in the province with the goal of making Bac Ninh one of the leading training, research and development centers of universities in the country and the region.
