On February 21, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province, Dao Quang Khai, signed Decision No. 127/QD-UBND approving the Detailed Planning task of Foreign Trade University.
Accordingly, the planning area is located in Dong Nguyen ward, Tu Son city, with a planning area of about 33.66 hectares. Foreign Trade University, based on the approved Detailed Planning task, organizes the preparation of the Detailed Planning Project according to current regulations.
According to the reporter's investigation, on December 8, 2023, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1589/QD-TTg approving the Planning of Bac Ninh province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.
Accordingly, the Foreign Trade University project phase 1 in Dong Nguyen ward, Tu Son city is included in Appendix A - List of works in Tu Son city for the period 2021-2030.
In the Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, Bac Ninh will form university urban areas to attract higher education institutions from Hanoi Capital to move to or build branches in the province.
Currently, the Hanoi Law University campus 2 project is under construction with an area of nearly 28 hectares in Tu Son City (Bac Ninh province), with a total investment of more than 1,700 billion VND.
The project to build campus 2 in Bac Ninh of the schools: University of Pharmacy, University of Natural Resources and Environment is also in the process of implementation.
On February 14, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Vuong Quoc Tuan signed and issued a Plan to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo and the Government's Action Program on breakthroughs in science, technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.
According to this plan, Bac Ninh will build a series of works: University urban area, scientific research areas and institutes to serve the development of science, technology and innovation with a total area of 1,300 hectares.
