Regarding the issue of popularizing artificial intelligence, Mr. Truong Gia Binh said: "In the past, in the most difficult years, the years of resistance when the government was weak and poor, Uncle Ho raised the issue of equal education. Now the opportunity comes, especially during this Tet holiday, we hear a lot about DeepSeek. DeepSeek makes artificial intelligence popular, meaning that small businesses can do it, small and medium-sized businesses have also applied it".
The FPT Chairman suggested that AI can be included in the education and training programs of all education systems as soon as possible, and FPT is the one that directly implements it in the education system, including grade 1. However, Mr. Binh said that to do this, it is most necessary to have the role of the State, to direct and guide Vietnam to soon become a country of artificial intelligence...
Popularizing artificial intelligence needs to be associated with lifelong learning and building a learning society. Regarding this issue, in an interview with Lao Dong reporter, Mr. Ta Van Ha - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Society - shared that lifelong learning not only helps each individual improve knowledge and develop thinking but also motivates the progress of the whole society. A learning society will create high-quality human resources, meeting the requirements of the digital age and international integration.
Building a learning society, lifelong learning helps people adapt to innovation, meet the requirements and development trends of the times. In the 4.0 era, the era of digital transformation, the era of strong national growth, it is impossible to separate from building a learning society. Learning also arouses patriotism, self-respect, national pride, fosters the will, qualifications and adaptability of Vietnamese people in the context of increasingly improved international integration, increasingly improved labor productivity, contributing to building a strong and prosperous developed country.
Mr. Ha affirmed that the spirit of lifelong learning and building a learning society will certainly create many great achievements for the country.
China deploys AI courses for middle and primary school students
In early March 2025, the Beijing City Education Commission (China) announced that starting from the September school year, schools in Beijing will deploy artificial intelligence (AI) courses for middle and primary school students.
According to the Beijing Working Plan to promote AI education in primary and secondary schools (2025-2027), students will have at least 8 hours of AI learning per school year, including all levels of education from primary to high school, in which AI is comprehensively popular among primary and secondary school students.
Teaching methods can be in the form of independent courses, or integrated into existing subjects such as information technology and science, while encouraging the application of AI education in after-school services, club activities, research and practice. Before Beijing, Shanghai has also implemented AI education in middle and primary schools (including vocational schools) from the fall semester of 2024.
