worked hours of preschool teachers
The professional activities of preschool teachers include direct teaching hours in class, preparation time for teaching hours in class, time to pick up and drop off children, time to perform other professional tasks according to professional activities (hereinafter referred to as working time).
The time for performing professional activities must be guaranteed to be 8 hours/day and 40 hours/week.

The standard teaching time per day, for teachers teaching groups of children, kindergartens that have to teach directly in class for 2 sessions/day is 5 hours and 30 minutes (excluding pick-up and drop-off time);
For teachers teaching groups of children, preschool classes must teach directly in class for 1 session/day, which is 4 hours (excluding pick-up and drop-off time).
Thus, the draft Circular has adjusted the time limit for teachers teaching groups of children and kindergartens who have to teach directly in class for 2 sessions/day from 06:00 in Circular No. 48 to 5:30 (excluding the time for pick-up and drop-off).
The Ministry of Education and Training believes that this regulation aims to separate the time spent teaching directly in class from the time spent welcoming and dropping off children so that preschool education facilities can facilitate the assignment and assignment of tasks to teachers.
Principals and deputy principals of kindergartens must directly teach
The draft Circular stipulates that principals and deputy principals must directly participate in teaching children to grasp the content and goals of the curriculum, instead of the regulation that principals and deputy principals can teach children or attend children's lessons of teachers in schools in Circular No. 48. This regulation aims to improve the effectiveness of leadership and management in preschool education institutions.
The teaching hours for principals and deputy principals in the draft are as follows:
In addition to leadership and management tasks, principals and deputy principals must directly participate in teaching children to grasp the content and goals of the educational program to improve the effectiveness of leadership and management.
The standard teaching time for 1 week for the Principal is 2 hours; the Deputy Principal is 4 hours.
Principals and deputy Principals are not allowed to change the regime of reducing teaching hours as prescribed in Articles 8 and 9 of this Circular to replace teaching hours.
When teaching at the prescribed teaching hours standards, principals and deputy principals are allowed to convert professional activities according to the provisions of Article 11 of this Circular to calculate the total number of teaching hours when calculating the number of extra teaching hours (if any).
