On the morning of June 23, the Department of Education and Training (DET) of Ho Chi Minh City announced the scores for the 10th grade exam in 2025.
General data shows that Math has fluctuated greatly, with the main scores concentrated at 6.5-7.5 points. Recorded 4,580 candidates achieving 7; followed by 6.75 points with 4,345 candidates achieving; 36 candidates achieving an absolute score of 10, down from 2024 by 49, but the number of candidates achieving 8-9.75 points is quite large. Especially at 8 points, there are 2,886 candidates and 8.25 points, there are 1,609 candidates. The 9-point level has 336 candidates.
Data also shows that the number of candidates with below-average scores (under 4.75 points) has decreased significantly with 28,028 students, accounting for about 36% (in 2024 it will be 56%).
Literature, the general score is 6-7 points. The score with the largest number of candidates is 7 points with 5,936 candidates; followed by 6.5 points with 5,718 candidates and 6 points with 5,491 candidates. No candidate achieved a score of 10; 2 candidates achieved 9.5 points - the highest score.
In Foreign Language, the score of 10 is down more than 3 times compared to the previous year, with 488 candidates (1 707 candidates achieved this score in 2024).
The most concentrated foreign language advantage was 7.25 points with 3,143 candidates; followed by 7.5 points with 3,050 candidates and 8 points with 3,022 candidates.



In 2025, the 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City will have more than 76,000 candidates taking the exam. The total enrollment target of public high schools is 70,070 students. Thus, there will be about more than 6,000 students who will not pass this exam, will study at Continuing Education Centers, Vocational Education Centers - Continuing Education, vocational education, or participate in other types of education and training.
The admission score is the total score: Literature score + Foreign language score + Math score + Priority and incentive score (if any).
