On December 18, information from the People's Committee of Dien Bien province, the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee signed and issued decisions approving the investment and construction project for 4 high schools including: Tua Chua, Hoang Cong Chat, Na Sang and Phan Dinh Giot.
All 4 projects are invested by the Department of Education and Training of Dien Bien province. From the capital for education in the annual budget revenue and expenditure estimate of the locality, with the project implementation progress in 2025-2026.
Specifically, Tua Chua High School (Tua Chua commune) has the largest total construction investment with 14.95 billion VND. The project not only aims to ensure safety for teaching but also aims to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the school's founding.
The investment scale here includes the demolition of old classrooms, security guards, and degraded parking lots. Notably, the project will build a new block of functional classrooms combined with a three-story school building and a library (level III), with a roof floor area of about 470m2 and auxiliary items.
Hoang Cong Chat High School (Thanh An Commune) approved an investment of 4.4 billion VND to renovate a 2-storey classroom building (B House - 6 rooms); a functional building and a 2-storey classroom building (C House - 8 rooms).
The main construction items include handling the leakproof roof, repainting the entire surface, paving a new foundation, replacing the safety aluminum glass door system and renewing the electrical and lightning protection system.
For Na Sang High School (Na Sang commune), the project has a total investment of 3.7 billion VND. The project focuses on renovating the Board of Directors' house, classroom building and department rooms.
Phan Dinh Giot High School (Dien Bien Phu Ward) has invested 3.4 billion VND to renovate a multi-purpose house, student dormitory and restroom area. Deteriorated items such as corrugated iron roofs, mossy walls, and damaged door systems will be replaced and repainted to ensure aesthetics and prolong the life of the project.
The common point of the projects is that they are equipped with or upgraded with fire prevention and fighting systems.
