On the evening of April 18, Hanoi National University of Education organized the Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Day and awarded scholarships "Accompanying students in difficult areas".
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Son - Rector of Hanoi National University of Education affirmed that the event is an important highlight, helping students feel the diversity and richness of culture, and at the same time recognize the common points that create Vietnamese identity and spirit. Through this, each person knows how to cherish differences, understand each other better and connect with each other.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Son also expressed his wish that each student should maintain their identity but at the same time know how to connect with everyone, together towards a better future.
At the program, 16 students from disadvantaged areas received support from the "Accompanying Students in Difficult Areas" Fund of Hanoi National University of Education.
The Fund to Accompany Students in Difficult Areas of Hanoi National University of Education was established from the initiative of Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Minh - former Rector of the school; to implement scholarship and talent promotion activities, award prizes to encourage and motivate students to overcome difficulties and promote their abilities in learning and training.

Sharing at the program, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Minh - Chairman of the Scholarship Council - shared that he had traveled to difficult mountainous areas, had witnessed teachers traveling four or five kilometers a week, and some students having to travel hundreds of kilometers a week.
“I myself was also born from the village. And in the years of studying, if it weren't for the sweet potatoes and cassava of the villagers, how could I have overcome the years of studying. I didn't have the opportunity to return to the village, but I went back to the ethnic people, ate with them, lived with them for many years. That was an extremely profound experience” – Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Minh shared.

He believes that giving and giving is easy to say, but doing is sometimes hesitant. Daring to give and daring to receive is not simple. Giving freely is not simply losing, it is giving for the future, it is a noble gesture, and it is sowing the seeds of goodness, it is repaying gratitude to life.
Receiving here is receiving trust, receiving motivation and only for those who have courage, value honor and dare to dedicate themselves" - Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Minh said.
Sung Thi Cha - a 2nd year student, Faculty of Preschool Education, School of Child Development Science, Hanoi National University of Education, wearing traditional costumes of the Mong ethnic people, stepped onto the stage to receive a scholarship worth 1.5 million VND/month. This support level helps her save some living expenses.
I feel grateful for the companionship of teachers for myself. My highest goal is to graduate on time with the best results, return to my hometown to work and contribute" - Cha expressed.
Representing the fund, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Minh committed to using it for the right purpose, meaning, and transparency because of the companionship with students who dare to venture. He also hopes that students who are awarded scholarships will need to make more efforts and be more diligent in their studies and life.
