National Economics University (NEU) forecasts that the university entrance benchmark score for 2026 will range from 23 to 28.5 points, equivalent to the level of 2025, in the context that the school maintains the input quality assurance threshold of 22 points.
The above information was shared by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duc Tho, Director of the National Economics University.
According to him, after analyzing the score distribution of the 2026 high school graduation exam and the data of candidates registering their aspirations for the school, the school forecasts that the benchmark scores for majors will be in the range of 23 - 28.5 points.
Previously, the school announced the input quality assurance threshold for the high school graduation exam score method as 22 points for all combinations A00, A01, D01 and D07, unchanged compared to 2025.
For majors in the field of Law, candidates must achieve at least 6 points in Mathematics.
This benchmark score is also applied to the method of combining graduation exam scores with international English certificates such as IELTS, TOEFL iBT.
In 2026, the National Economics University will continue to use three admission methods including direct admission, high school graduation exam score admission and combined admission.
In which, combined admission is still the main method with three groups of candidates: using international SAT/ACT certificates; using the results of competency assessment and thinking assessment combined or not combined with foreign language certificates; and using international English certificates combined with high school graduation exam scores.
Along with the floor score, the school also announced a table of conversion of equivalent scores between admission methods.
Accordingly, 28 high school graduation exam scores are converted to be equivalent to 112/150 HSA scores, 1,500/1,600 SAT scores, 1,004/1,200 V-ACT scores and 77.9/100 TSA scores.
Compared to last year, the conversion gap between methods has been adjusted to narrow in order to increase similarity in admission consideration.

In recent years, the benchmark score of the National Economics University has always been among the highest in the country. In the period 2023 - 2025, the school's admission score is commonly at 8.5 - 9 points per subject.
From 2025, according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, all admission methods are converted to the same 30-point scale and each major has only one unified benchmark score.
At that time, E-commerce major had the highest benchmark score with 28.83 points. Many other majors such as Auditing, International Business, International Economics, and Public Relations also took over 28 points.
Out of a total of 73 training majors, up to 40 majors have benchmark scores from 26 points or higher, while the lowest major is Public Administration and Policy with 23 points.
In 2026, the National Economics University is expected to open 15 new training majors. Tuition fees for the standard program range from about 20 - 28 million VND per year, while advanced, high-quality and application-oriented programs (POHE) have tuition fees of about 41 - 68 million VND per year.
