Dr. Nguyen Thi Nhu Hue, Deputy Head of the Training and Funds Management Department - Academy of Journalism and Communication, made the above prediction when talking about the picture of the Academy's benchmark scores this year.
Accordingly, Dr. Nguyen Thi Nhu Hue predicts that the admission scores for the majors of the Academy of Journalism and Communication this year will be basically stable, if reduced, it will only be slightly reduced depending on each group and each major.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Nhu Hue analyzed that if considered according to the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, there is Literature. However, this year, the Literature general level has not fluctuated much. Meanwhile, the Math and English exam is considered more difficult than last year, with good differentiation.

Therefore, for combinations with Math and English, especially in the D01 combination with both Math and English, the benchmark score may decrease, the remaining combinations are not expected to have much impact.
From the reality of admission work in recent years, Dr. Nguyen Thi Nhu Hue said that the majority of candidates applying for admission under block D01 are often placed in the group of International Relations, International Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, English Language, mass media, Multimedia Communications. Among them, many students submit English certificates because the academy allows candidates to convert the certificates.
According to preliminary statistics, the number of candidates with English certificates such as IELTS, TOEFL ITP, APTIS (General), APTIS (Advanced), VSTEP registering to the Academy of Journalism and Communication has increased significantly compared to 2024, estimated at several dozen thousand records.
Although the general score for English in the high school graduation exam is low, the admission score for converting the certificate is still high - Dr. Nguyen Thi Nhu Hue analyzed, and predicted that the majors with the highest benchmark scores are still hot majors in the field of journalism and media, such as Multimedia Communications, Marketing Communications, Television Newspaper, Electronic Newspaper, etc.
However, Dr. Nguyen Thi Nhu Hue also emphasized that the above prediction is for reference only, because the admission score depends on factors such as floor score, industry/training program quota and number of registered candidates, etc.
The Academy of Journalism and Communication is expected to hold an Admissions Council meeting on the afternoon of August 21 and announce the full university admission scores for 2025 according to the admission methods before 5:00 p.m. on August 22, according to the general schedule of the Ministry of Education and Training.
In 2024, the admission score to the Academy of Journalism and Communication based on the highest graduation exam score in the Multimedia Communication major is 28.25 in the C15 combination (Literature, Mathematics and Social Sciences), on a 30-point scale. Followed by the Mass Communications industry, also in the C15 group, with 28.05. The Party Building and State Administration sector takes 24.68 points at the A16 group (Math, Literature and Natural Sciences), the lowest on this scale.
