On May 10, in Hanoi, the Final Round of the National STEM, AI and Robotics Championship (VSAR) 2025–2026 took place.
The contest is organized by Tien Phong Newspaper, the Central Team Council, the National Innovation Center and Hanoi University of Science and Technology, under the direction of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, journalist Phung Cong Suong - Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee said that with the theme "Energy for the Future", this year's competition is not only about green energy, sustainable technology or innovative models of the new era. Deeper, it is also a journey to awaken the strongest energy source of a nation: The energy of knowledge, of the desire to conquer science, of the spirit of innovation and of belief in a brave young Vietnamese generation confidently stepping into the future with their own intelligence.
The National STEM, AI and Robotics Championship aims to build a national-scale academic, creative and technological playground for students at all levels.
Launched in November 2025, the contest has received strong responses from localities, schools, teachers, parents and students across the country.
From tens of thousands of students participating in school and local competitions, more than 5,000 contestants entered the National Qualifying Round.
After the appraisal process of the Professional Council, 2,930 best contestants were present in the Final Round. The National Championship alone gathered 1,288 contestants from 335 teams from 29 provinces and cities.

Notably, the competition recorded widespread participation of students from many regions, including remote, mountainous and ethnic minority boarding schools.
Em Mai Ngoc Hieu, team Nguyen Hue 2, representing the contestants, shared: "The competition is not only a place for us to show our knowledge and skills, but also an opportunity to exchange, learn, and train team spirit, competitive spirit and sense of responsibility to the community. With the theme "Energy for the Future", we understand that today's creative ideas can contribute to building a green, modern and more sustainable future.
After the opening ceremony, teams compete throughout the day. The closing and award ceremony took place in the late afternoon of the same day.
