Fighting in many competitions
Having passed more than 130 entries from 45 universities and academies across the country, Anh Thu (a female student majoring in Artificial Intelligence (AI), FPT University, Can Tho branch), was honored to receive the Vietnam Women's Science and Technology Award in 2025. This is an award organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in coordination with the Ministry of Science and Technology to honor outstanding female students in the field of science and technology.

Sharing about her feelings when receiving the award, Anh Thu was both surprised and happy and proud that her efforts were recognized. According to the female student, the first motivation for her to try and achieve her current achievements and awards is her passion, love for exploring and discovering new technologies.
Along with passion for technology, perseverance, and determination to achieve the set goals are the motivations for me to try and overcome difficulties in the research process. This is also what teachers and family always remind me of, Anh Thu shared.
With the spirit of being willing to experience and pioneer in approaching technology, Anh Thu not only had an impressive learning journey at the School, but also "fought" and achieved high results at academic playgrounds with her teammates such as the champion of the autonomous Car FPT Can Tho 2023, Second Prize of the F-Hacker FPT Can Tho 2023, Second Prize of the Autorace FPT Can Tho 2024, Encouragement Prize of FPT Edu Research Festival 2024. In addition, Anh Thu also had research articles published in the journal Q1 and Q2.
Development orientation
For Anh Thu, the results of the competitions do not stop at awards, but are also valuable experiences that help students practice their mettle and creative thinking.
Currently, along with studying in class, Anh Thu is researching with the group to accumulate other scientific research papers. Regarding personal orientation, female students are focusing on graduation projects as well as finding information on study abroad or domestic scholarships for higher education levels such as Master's and Doctoral degrees.

As a lecturer guided by Anh Thu, Dr. Tran Ngoc Hoang - Head of Artificial Intelligence, FPT University, Can Tho branch - said that Thu is one of the very few female students majoring in AI at the School. Throughout her learning and research process, under the guidance of her teachers and the support of her group members, Thu has always been a pioneer - from proposing ideas, building models to implementing and evaluating results.
Thanks to her perseverance and progressive spirit, Thu has co-authored many international scientific articles on AI application in the field of robots and autonomous vehicles - a very proud achievement for a university student.
"Thu's journey and achievements are clear evidence of the spirit of effort, passion for technology and the desire to assert herself of Vietnamese female students in the field of AI. Hopefully Thu will give female students at FPT University in particular and nationwide in general motivation, as well as a passion for research and work in today's AI era", Dr. Tran Ngoc Hoang shared.
