At the conference, representatives of the Department of Education and Training announced 27 decisions on merging and establishing public schools directly under the Department.

Quang Trung High School No. 1; Vo Lai Secondary & High School; Hoai An High School; Vo Giu Secondary & High School; An Lao Secondary & High School; Quang Trung High School No. 2; Le Thanh Tong High School; Ia Ly Secondary & High School; Nguyen Binh Khiem High School; Pham Van Dong Secondary & High School; Phan Chu Trinh Secondary & High School; Anh Hung Nup Secondary & High School; Dinh Tien Hoang Secondary & High School; Tran Quoc Tuan High School.
Gia Lai Department of Education and Training transferred and appointed 81 principals and vice principals of 27 schools after the merger; 2 principals and 9 vice principals held the positions of vice principals at high schools, continuing education centers (GDTX) and vocational education - GDTX.
According to a representative of the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Education and Training, before the arrangement, the whole province had 103 educational institutions directly under the Department, after the arrangement there were still 86 units. At the high school level, there was 1 case of a principal applying to become a vice principal and 1 case of a vice principal applying to become a teacher.
Mr. Pham Van Nam - Director of Gia Lai Department of Education and Training - said that the arrangement process will certainly lead to many changes in personnel work. Some people continue to take on their current positions, some are assigned new tasks, and there are also cases where they have to change their working positions.
According to Mr. Nam, these decisions more or less affect the thoughts, feelings and working process of each management official. However, the assignment of new positions, especially in the case of from principal to vice principal at the school after arrangement, does not change the recognition of the enthusiasm, responsibility and contributions of officials in the working process.
The arrangement of officials to new positions is a suitable adjustment to the organizational requirements of the school after arrangement. Positions and working positions may change, but the prestige, experience and contributions of each official are still valid," Mr. Nam said.
The Director of Gia Lai Department of Education and Training said that changes in positions are also an opportunity for each official to build a united and responsible collective for the common goal. He hopes that the concerns and worries will be put aside to move towards the future, for the common development of the Education sector.
Mr. Pham Van Nam requested that, immediately after the arrangement, schools urgently develop operating plans, ensure smooth operation and prepare good conditions to organize the opening ceremony of the new school year.
Implementing the plan to arrange educational institutions, Gia Lai province plans to arrange 1,267 schools down to 699 schools, a reduction of 568 schools, equivalent to 44.83%.
After arrangement, the number of management officials decreased from 2,632 to 1,924 people, with an expected surplus of 708 people. To date, localities have plans to arrange for 661 people, and 47 cases do not have specific plans.
For accounting and clerical staff, the whole province is expected to have a surplus of 206 people and has a plan to handle all of these cases.
Regarding the scale of classes, Gia Lai is expected to reduce 1,293 classes, including 554 primary school classes, 580 secondary school classes and 159 high school classes, corresponding to a reduction of 2,066 teacher staff quotas.
