The school plans to start school at 6:30 a.m., students expressed disagreement
Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade plans to adjust the school hours from the next semester with the first shift in the morning starting 30 minutes earlier, from 6:30-9:00 instead of 7:00-9:15 as at present; shift 2 from 9:30-12:00; shift 3 from 12:30-15:00; and shift 4 from 15:30-18:00. The number of evening lessons is reduced from 5 to 4, with evening lessons starting from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The adjustment aims to ensure that each lesson lasts 50 minutes according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, while reducing traffic congestion, helping students travel more conveniently during peak hours.

However, many students expressed disagreement because early school hours make them wake up very early, causing pressure on breakfast and rest time, making it difficult to absorb lessons effectively, especially for students staying far away. In addition, school drop-off time in the afternoon is later (18:00 instead of 5:25) which increases traffic congestion and makes it difficult to return home on time.
The school's leadership is continuing to collect opinions to adjust to suit the needs and actual conditions of students and lecturers. See more...
A teacher at a kindergarten in Lao Cai reported being charged extra teaching fees
Teachers at An Binh Kindergarten, Dong Cuong commune, Lao Cai province, reported that every month, after receiving overtime teaching money from the State Treasury, they have to transfer it back to the school's treasurer. In addition, some parents also reported that they have to pay 500,000 VND/child to buy school supplies, but in reality, the school takes advantage of old or charitable items, rarely shopping for new ones. In addition, many teachers also reflected that even the money they received from extra teaching hours had to be returned to the school, even though they had worked and taught fully and on duty.
The principal of An Binh Kindergarten affirmed that every month teachers still receive overtime pay and there is no transfer to the school. The local government, represented by Mr. Le Thanh Hung - Chairman of Dong Cuong Commune People's Committee, after receiving information from Lao Dong Newspaper, said that he would direct the school to report and explain and strictly handle if violations were discovered, to ensure transparency in financial activities and the rights of teachers.
