Whether or not the principal is responsible for socialized revenue
After Lao Dong Newspaper's reflection on the illegal collection of socialized money at a number of schools in Quang Tri, the local government took action to handle it. At Thuan Duc Primary and Secondary School (Dong Son Ward), the People's Committee of the ward has directed the school to immediately stop collecting socialized money and proceed to refund the amount collected to parents. The school admitted that there were errors due to homeroom teachers conveying incorrect instructions, and the locality will remind and rectify to avoid similar situations.
At Nam Ly Primary School No. 1 (Dong Hoi Ward), 12/28 classes are charged at 312,000 VND/student, making parents upset about the voluntariness. The Department of Culture and Social Affairs of Dong Hoi Ward believes that the responsibility partly belongs to the principal because there has not been close supervision. Currently, the government is waiting to establish an inspection team, when there is a specific conclusion, it will consider responsibility and handle it according to regulations.
Previously, many parents in these two schools also reported that some fees collected at the beginning of the school year were set at the school's fees, causing financial pressure and doubts about voluntariness. See more...
