Hanoi finalizes funding support level to reward teachers
On February 25, at the 21st Session, the Hanoi People's Council passed a resolution to support funding for implementing the bonus regime under Decree 73/2024/ND-CP for public educational institutions that self-insure regular expenditures to participate in piloting the provision of educational services from the state budget. The subjects of application are public kindergartens and general schools, excluding high-quality public educational institutions.

The bonus support level for teachers is 10% of the total salary fund (excluding allowances and contributions), divided into two stages: the last 6 months of 2024 (from July 1 to December 31, 2024) and the first 8 months of 2025 (from January 1 to August 31, 2025). Because this is a new policy, not included in the price of educational services ordered, schools do not have financial resources to pay.
The total implementation cost is about 255 billion VND, of which the city level spends nearly 122 billion VND, the district level spends nearly 133 billion VND. See more...

College students adjust exam preparation plans in anxiety
The regulations for university and college admissions have not been officially announced, but according to the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) in 2025, higher education institutions will not consider early admission. This causes many candidates and teachers to quickly adjust their study and teaching plans.
The removal of early admission is considered to create fairness for candidates who are not eligible to participate in other admission methods. However, many students who have invested in beautiful academic records and foreign language certificates now have to focus entirely on the high school graduation exam. They hope the Ministry of Education and Training will soon announce the admission regulations to have an effective review plan. See more...

Second, encouragement points and changes in Literature. Secondary school students who win provincial prizes in national competitions will have their admission scores added with incentive points, with a level of 0.5 - 1.5 points depending on the award. From 2025, the Literature exam will not use textbook materials, requiring students to write papers instead of text, in which social commentary questions account for 40% of the total score.
Third, the format of the new multiple-choice test. The structure of the multiple-choice test will change according to the format of the high school graduation exam, with 20% knowledge questions, 40% understanding and 40% application.
