A locality temporarily suspends signing contracts with teachers to wait for payroll handover
On August 14, information from the People's Committee of Lao Cai province said that the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee had opinions on Official Dispatch No. 298 of the Department of Education and Training.
The submission proposes to continue allowing contracts for teachers and staff; sending and visiting lecturers at educational and training non-business units in the area in the 2026 - 2027 school year.
Accordingly, in the immediate future, the province has not signed labor contracts with teachers and staff at public educational institutions as requested by the Department of Education and Training.
This is being implemented in the context that the province is focusing on arranging and reorganizing preschool and general education institutions and waiting for competent authorities to issue a decision to assign official education career payroll in 2026. See more...

According to the provisions of Clause 2, Article 6 of Circular No. 05/2025/TT-BGDĐT, in case the summer vacation time and maternity leave time of female teachers have overlapping periods, in addition to the holiday, Tet and other holidays as prescribed, the teacher's leave time includes: Maternity leave time as prescribed; Summer vacation time outside the maternity leave time (before or after the maternity leave time).
