Increasing teachers' salaries contributes to solving many hot problems in the education sector
The draft Decree on salary and allowance policies for teachers announced by the Ministry of Education and Training stipulates a special salary coefficient: preschool teachers are entitled to a coefficient of 1.25, other teacher titles of 1.15. This policy aims to gradually implement the policy of "the highest salary for teachers in the administrative and career system", overcoming the situation of equalization, not properly reflecting the capacity and work efficiency of the teaching staff.

Associate Professor, Dr. Do Van Dung - former Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education, said that the current low salary makes the teaching profession lose its appeal to high-quality human resources, while the income is not commensurate with qualifications and contributions. Increasing salaries and improving treatment will help teachers feel secure in their work, invest in their expertise, be creative and innovate teaching methods, thereby improving the quality of comprehensive education and attracting good students to study pedagogical subjects.
