HCMC is ready for a special opening ceremony
In the 2025 - 2026 school year, the opening ceremony will be held in person and online simultaneously across the country. In Ho Chi Minh City, schools have completed preparations, from arranging stages, LED screens, welcoming programs for 6th graders, to fundraising activities to support people in flooded areas and decorate classrooms.
A new point this year is the replacement of congratulatory flowers with trees according to the policy of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, in order to create a green space for the school campus. In many schools, grade 9 students will give small potted plants to grade 6 students, so that they can take care of themselves, symbolizing green shoots - dream shoots in the new environment. Teacher salaries expected to increase, the highest is up to 7 million VND/month excluding allowances
Immediately after the National Assembly passed the Law on Teachers, the Ministry of Education and Training has developed a system of documents guiding its implementation. In particular, teacher recruitment will be assigned to the Department of Education and Training or the People's Committee at the provincial level to decentralize, reduce intermediaries, synchronize quality, save costs and overcome local surplus - shortage. The Ministry also developed a Decree detailing the exam, with 2 rounds of entrance exams, in which the second round focuses on assessing pedagogical capacity and professional skills at each level of education.

Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son informed that this is an important innovation compared to the previous general civil servant recruitment mechanism, when the characteristics of the teaching profession were not fully taken into account. The design of the practical entrance exam is expected to accurately assess the candidate's ability, improve the quality of the team, and at the same time create more opportunities for candidates.
Regarding the treatment regime, the Ministry of Education and Training is finalizing a draft to specify details on salaries and allowances. It is expected that the basic salary of all teachers will increase by at least 2 million VND, the highest is 5-7 million VND/person/month, not including allowances. See more...
Must transport 5km lunch to a branch school in Hanoi
In the 2025-2026 school year, Khanh Thuong Primary School (Ba Vi, Hanoi) will implement boarding meals for students according to the city's direction. The school has two locations 5km apart, in which the main location has a kitchen, and a branch location will be used to transport meals from the main location. After completing the bidding procedures and registering on the public service portal, the school ensures safety during the supply and transportation process.
Of the total 680 students, 640 have registered for boarding meals, nearly 3 times higher than last year. Most parents agreed and were excited, because more than 60% of the students were children of ethnic minorities and their families were still in difficulty. The city's support policy is considered extremely meaningful, helping students have conditions to study and parents feel more secure.
Similarly, at Van Hoa Primary School (Yen Bai Commune), this year nearly 100% of parents have registered to provide meals for their children after the city supported free meals, instead of only 1/3 as last year. See more...
