Kinh Bac University students shocked when 160 diplomas at risk of being revoked

Kinh Bac University (Bac Ninh) has just issued a plan to review, revoke, cancel and reissue 160 university diplomas due to improper signing and issuance. These diplomas belong to students graduating in 2024 (phase 2), according to the inspection conclusion of the Ministry of Education and Training in Notice No. 2491 dated December 31, 2025 on the management of training and issuance of diplomas and certificates of the school.

Notably, the Ministry of Education and Training determined that the decision to appoint Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa as Principal was not in accordance with legal regulations; and at the same time requested individuals who were appointed and assigned tasks against regulations not to continue performing their duties. The lawyer argued that the old term of the School Council had expired, and the new term had not completed the procedures, so the signing of documents with the title of Principal and related decisions was not legally guaranteed, causing disruption to training activities and learners' psychology.

Many students who have graduated and worked for more than a year expressed confusion and anxiety when their diplomas were suddenly revoked, directly affecting their jobs and job application process. Students said that they were not at fault, had studied fully and paid tuition fees according to regulations; and at the same time hoped that the Ministry of Education and Training would soon have an official decision to protect legitimate rights and help the school stabilize operations.
