Eliminate early admission to ensure fairness in admission
The Ministry of Education and Training decided to eliminate early admission from 2025 to ensure fairness and transparency in admission. This only changes the admission time, without affecting the candidates' admission opportunities. Admission methods such as academic records, foreign language certificates, and competency assessment exams are still applied in the general admission round of the Ministry.

Many universities affirmed that they will still maintain the same admission methods. The University of Transport maintains admission based on high school graduation exam scores, academic records, thinking and capacity assessment exams, and adds the GT1 combination (Math, Physics, Information). The Academy of Finance is also not affected because it does not organize early admission.
Experts recommend that candidates should closely monitor the admission plan of each school, determine their favorite major and choose the appropriate admission method. Careful research of information will help candidates have an accurate registration strategy, optimizing their admission opportunities.

Overcoming the situation of pedagogical students being owed support money
The Government has issued Decree 60/2025/ND-CP amending and supplementing Decree 116/2020/ND-CP on policies to support tuition and living expenses for pedagogical students. One of the new points is that the state will support by allocating estimates, according to budget decentralization, eliminating the method of bidding for teacher training. At the same time, the Decree clarifies the responsibilities of relevant parties, especially ensuring timely support funds for students.

After three years of implementation, the support policy has attracted many candidates to study pedagogical majors, improving the quality of teachers. However, some problems still exist such as late payment of funding, localities not implementing orders, lack of guidance on bidding, and difficulties in monitoring funding compensation.
Decree 60 was issued to overcome these shortcomings, helping pedagogical students receive timely support, reduce financial burdens and ensure benefits after graduation. At the same time, training institutions and localities will have clearer mechanisms in implementing policies, contributing to improving the teacher training system. See more...
Verifying the accusation that a school in Nha Trang reduced boarding meals
The Nha Trang City Department of Education is coordinating with the City People's Committee to inspect and verify the complaint of teacher Nguyen Thu Lieu about V.H 1 Primary School "reducing" boarding meals, embezzling budget and overcharging. The inspection aims to ensure the rights of students and financial transparency in the school.
According to the reflection, the school's boarding kitchen is of poor quality even though the cost of meals is 29,000 VND/day/student. The principal was accused of arbitrarily building the kitchen and deciding on the fee without consulting parents. In addition, the money for nannies also showed signs of being used unclearly, when they only received 2.7 million VND/month instead of 5.6 million VND.
The school has signed a contract with the catering unit but did not control the quantity of food, leading to a shortage of ingredients and changes to the menu without notice. See more...
