Hanoi plans to use AI to distribute admissions at the first level
Hanoi plans to apply GIS digital maps and artificial intelligence AI in primary school enrollment zoning to ensure science and rationality. With a large education scale including nearly 3,000 kindergartens and general schools, more than 2.3 million students and more than 129,000 teachers, the city aims to organize enrollment transparently, conveniently and in accordance with population reality.

According to the policy of the Hanoi People's Committee, preschool enrollment, grades 1 and 6 will be carried out according to the principles of safety, objectivity, and fairness, mainly considering enrollment based on students' residence in communes and wards. Technology-based zoning will aim to "bring schools closer to students". At the same time, it combines population data verification through the VNeID application to increase transparency and accuracy.
For high-quality secondary schools or private schools with over-the-counter enrollment, enrollment may be based on academic results and training in primary school or student competency assessment through forms such as Q&A, writing or presentation. Schools will develop enrollment plans and report to local authorities for approval to ensure fairness and suitability to actual conditions. See more...
