Minister of Education and Training (MOET) Nguyen Kim Son has signed a decision to recognize Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao, Party Secretary, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, to hold the position of Chairman of the Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics for the 2025-2030 term.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao was born in 1979, from Hanoi. He graduated with a PhD in Economics, Finance - Banking in 2009 and was promoted to associate professor in 2015.
In 2023, he was recognized and appointed as a professor. Up to now, Professor Bao has more than 20 years of experience in teaching, scientific research and higher education management.
Before being elected as Chairman of the Board of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics for the 2025-2030 term, Professor Bao held many positions such as: Head of the Faculty of Finance (2016); Head of the Training Department (20 2020); Vice Principal of the School of Industrial Arts and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (2021); Vice Principal and then Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (2022).
In June 2025, at the Party Congress of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics for the 2025-2030 term, Professor Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao was elected Secretary of the Party Committee.
