The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just sent a document to the People's Committees of Tam Thang and Phuoc Thang wards (formerly in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province) regarding the inspection and handling of violations at a number of construction investment projects.
According to the document, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the People's Committees of Tam Thang Ward and Phuoc Thang Ward to completely dismantle the violating constructions that have been handled, not allowing the violators to re-offend the violation; issue a decision to enforce the decision to sanction administrative violations and organize implementation according to the law.
Urgently and focus on handling thoroughly according to the law for cases of violations that have been detected but have not yet been recorded.
At the same time, consider or propose to competent authorities to consider the responsibilities of relevant individuals and organizations in loosening management to allow illegal constructions to occur.
Strengthen patrolling, inspection, timely detection and handling of violations; do not let new cases arise, create hot spots for land and construction order.
Establish a Working Group to focus on resolving violations of land and construction order in the ward.
Report the implementation results to the Department of Construction before August 30, 2025 for synthesis and reporting to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also assigned the Department of Construction to monitor, inspect, and urge the implementation of the directives; synthesize reports, propose to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for consideration and resolution in accordance with legal regulations.
Previously, through inspection, Phuoc Thang ward had 120 illegal and unauthorized construction works; of which more than 100 were built before June 30 and from July 1 to now, there are 8 more works.
Tam Thang ward also recorded many cases of illegal house construction in the area.
