In response to the incident in which To Hien Thanh High School recruited more than 170 10th grade students for the 2024-2025 school year without being assigned a quota, Chief Inspector of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Doan Thi Kieu Oanh signed a decision to administratively sanction Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Tuyet - Principal of the school.
According to the decision of the Inspectorate of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the Principal of To Hien Thanh High School (Ha Dong District) violated regulations on organizing educational activities without permission.
The behavior of To Hien Thanh High School violates the provisions of Point b, Clause 5, Article 6 of Decree No. 04/2021/ND-CP dated January 22, 2021 of the Government regulating administrative sanctions in the field of education.
The principal of To Hien Thanh High School was administratively fined 20 million VND.
Previously, in October 2024, many parents were confused when they discovered that 174 grade 10 students of To Hien Thanh High School for the 2024-2025 school year were not listed in the system of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training.
The reason is that the school was not assigned enrollment targets for the 2024-2025 school year because it did not meet the legal requirements for its operating location. The solution that was approved by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training and received support from parents was to transfer all 174 students to Van Lang High School.
