The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has just issued an official dispatch stating that it will implement the Resolution dated May 26, 2025 of the People's Council of Bac Ninh province on approving the provincial budget support policy to invest in the construction of Hanoi Medical University, Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment, Foreign Trade University, Training facility - under Hanoi University of Science and Technology in Bac Ninh province.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province assigned the Civil and Urban Development Project Management Board to preside over and coordinate with Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Hanoi Medical University, Foreign Trade University, University of Natural Resources and Environment to prepare necessary conditions to immediately implement the Compensation, Support, Resettlement, Site Clearance, and relocation of technical infrastructure to serve site clearance for projects of the above Schools and Universities after the Decision approving the investment policy and approving the adjustment of the investment policy of competent authorities.
Previously, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has just submitted a document to the Provincial People's Council on approving the policy of supporting the provincial budget to invest in the construction of Hanoi Medical University, Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment, Foreign Trade University, Training Facility - under Hanoi University of Science and Technology in Bac Ninh province.
Accordingly, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province assessed that the need for public investment capital support for the above 4 projects with an estimated value of about 720 billion VND (which can be adjusted according to the actual implementation of the project) in the 2026-2030 period can be met.
The project to reorganize Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces to establish the (new) Bac Ninh province clearly states the plan to organize universities and colleges (under central agencies) located in the province.
Accordingly, based on the plan, the new Bac Ninh province will continue to develop University Zones 1 and 2 to form a national and international center for training, scientific research and technology application, with a total area of 1,115 hectares.
