On June 21, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Hydrometeorological Station issued an emergency flood bulletin on the Cau River.
Accordingly, the water level at Gia Bay station has reached 2,708cm, 8cm higher than alert level III and continues to have a slow increase trend.
It is forecasted that tonight and tomorrow (6, 22), floods on the Cau River will tend to decrease, but may rise again if heavy rain continues.
The water level on the Cau River is likely to peak at 2,740cm tonight, then there will be a downward trend. The warning level of natural disaster risk due to floods is level 2.

The rapid rise of floodwaters causes the risk of flooding in many low-lying areas along the river, especially in areas of Dong Hy district, Phu Binh, Pho Yen city and Thai Nguyen city.
The water level can cause flooding from 0.5 - 1m deep, locally over 2m. The flooding time is forecast to last from 12 to 24 hours, affecting people's traffic, daily life and production.
The provincial Hydrometeorological Station recommends that people in low-lying areas along the river should move their assets up high, limit travel through flooded areas to ensure safety.
