At 7:20 a.m. on June 23, 2025, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province issued Official Dispatch No. 02/CD on proactively dealing with rain and floods.
According to the announcement of the Bac Ninh Province Hydrometeorological Station, the water level of the Cau River has risen to alert level 2 at 7:10 a.m. on June 23, 2025. The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province issued alert number 2 on the Cau River bank.
The People's Committee of Bac Ninh province requests relevant agencies, People's Committees, Steering Committees for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of districts, towns, cities, Dyke Management Departments, Bac Duong KTCTTL Company Limited to organize patrolling and guarding the dyke to issue alert level 2 in accordance with the provisions of Circular No. 01/2009/TT-TNN dated January 6, 2009 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (now the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment).
Previously, on June 21, the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) sent a document to the Departments of Agriculture and Environment of the four provinces of Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, and Hanoi regarding the implementation of dyke protection work to ensure the safety of the dyke system.
The document said that due to the impact of heavy rain, floods on Cau, Lo rivers, and Thao rivers are rising rapidly, in which the water level at 1:00 p.m. on June 21 on Cau river in Gia Bay was 26.05 m (above BDII: 0.05 m).
To ensure the safety of the dyke system, the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control requests the Departments of Agriculture and Environment of provinces and cities to direct relevant units to urgently implement in practice the plan to protect key dyke areas according to the 4 on-site motto; prepare forces, materials, vehicles, machinery, and dyke protection equipment.
