In meetings with voters before the 16th National Assembly election in the Ba Ria - Vung Tau region, now the development space of expanded Ho Chi Minh City, voters were particularly interested in Petrovietnam's role in training and creating jobs for local human resources at the group's projects and works.
A voter in Rach Dua ward (Ho Chi Minh City) shared that people are very hopeful that the large oil and gas - energy projects of Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group (formerly Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group - Petrovietnam) will not only contribute to promoting socio-economic development of the locality but also open up job opportunities for young people in the region.
What people want is to have systematic training programs so that local workers can directly participate in large projects that the group will invest in the locality in the near future.
Currently, Petroleum College (PV College) and Vietnam Oil and Gas University (PVU) play two important pillars, aiming to provide technical and professional human resources for the industry.

Statistics at PVU show that 100% of students have jobs within 6 months after graduation, of which 84.1% work in the training major. Many students are working at oil and gas and energy enterprises inside and outside Petrovietnam, both domestically and internationally.
At voter meetings, Mr. Le Ngoc Son - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of Petrovietnam's Member Council - emphasized that the development of energy projects must be linked to creating job opportunities and improving the lives of local people. Therefore, training human resources, especially technical labor and young engineers, is always considered by Petrovietnam as an important task.
In addition, he also committed to voters about protecting the rights and upgrading workers through skills training programs, high-tech vocational training and green transformation, thereby helping young people and local workers have the opportunity to participate more deeply in modern industrial - energy value chains.
The most sustainable social security is attracting investment and creating jobs right in the homeland, so that local children have the opportunity to start a business with their own hands" - he shared.
