Right from the beginning of the school year, many 12th grade students have developed study plans instead of waiting until the end of the year to accelerate exam preparation. In addition to the high school graduation exam, many students also prepare IELTS certificates, the University Aptitude Test to have more choices in the university admission process.
Proactively change learning methods
Pham Nguyen Hong Chi - a 12th grade student in Dong Anh commune, Hanoi - said that in 12th grade, she adjusted her learning method instead of spending a lot of time on one subject in one session. Chi divided her time in the day, prioritizing grasping the knowledge in class first, then spending time on reviewing and preparing personal goals.
According to the female student, the allocation of time helps her not to be overloaded when she has to simultaneously maintain her studies at school and prepare for exams and certificates that can serve the university admission process.
I try to plan weekly. Parts of knowledge that are not certain should be marked to study more, and time for other contents is also fixed so as not to affect studying in class" - Hong Chi shared.
Not choosing to study concentratedly in one period, Hong Chi believes that maintaining regularity is more important. When there is a specific study schedule, she can easily monitor progress and adjust if a subject needs more time.

Not just focusing on one exam
Dao Nhat Long - a 12th grade student at Co Loa High School (Dong Anh commune, Hanoi) - said that in the final year of school, he determined to both focus on preparing for the high school graduation exam and preparing for the competency assessment exam of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
According to Long, the two exams have different knowledge requirements and how to do the test, so he proactively allocates time right from the beginning of the school year. Male students spend time consolidating knowledge of subjects to serve the high school graduation exam, and at the same time get acquainted with the question format and exam structure of Aptitude Assessment to have appropriate preparation.
I determine that 12th grade knowledge is still the focus, so I prioritize studying in class and reviewing for the graduation exam. Besides, I spend more time practicing the types of tests of the Aptitude Assessment exam so as not to be overloaded in the late year" - Nhat Long shared.
The male student said that on weekdays, he mainly completes homework and reviews knowledge in class. At the weekend, Long spends more time doing exam questions, reviewing the weak parts and adjusting his study plan for the next week.
I want to prepare in both directions but not let the review of Aptitude Assessment affect my studies and high school graduation exam preparation. If I allocate time reasonably, I think I will be more proactive when entering the exams" - Long said.
Meanwhile, Bui Phuong Thao - a 12th grade student in Dong Anh commune, Hanoi - said that she is learning about English Language, Chinese Language and International Relations majors. The female student plans to base on her academic results and enrollment requirements of each school to consider making a suitable choice.
Having registered for an IELTS exam in the near future, Thao is taking advantage of completing this certificate. In addition, the female student maintains her studies in class and consolidates her knowledge of subjects to prepare for the high school graduation exam.
I am trying to study for the upcoming IELTS exam. After having the results, I will continue to consider the admission options and choose a major that suits my interests and abilities" - Phuong Thao shared.
For Thao, identifying different directions helps her have more basis to make choices when the enrollment season comes, instead of relying on a single result.
