The Asian Physics Olympic (APhO) took place from May 4 to 12 in Saudi Arabia. More than 200 students from 30 delegations from 29 countries and territories participated.
The Vietnamese team is in the group of 5 teams with the best results, along with China, South Korea, Taipei (China), Russia. The Ministry assessed the results of this year's students as outstanding compared to last year (one gold medal, one silver and 6 bronze).
Students must do two theoretical and practical exercises, each for 5 hours. The Ministry of Education and Training said that this year's theory paper was built from practical and modern applications of Physics, such as the wrong linear movement of the Earth's axis causing global climate impacts, spin waves related to quantum computers and the greenhouse effect. The practical test is based on electromagnetic touch effects and applied in the magnetic kitchen.
The closing ceremony of APhO 2025 was held on the afternoon of May 12, local time.
