Accordingly, Le Kien Thanh, a 12th grade student at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Gia Lai province, won a Gold medal; Dang Huy Hau, a 10th grade student at Thang Long High School for the Gifted, Lam Dong province, won a Silver medal; Nguyen Bui Duc Dung, an 11th grade student at the High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences - University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, won a Silver medal; Ninh Quang Thang, a 12th grade student at Ha Long High School for the Gifted, Quang Ninh province, won a Bronze medal.

With 100% of the contestants achieving medals, the Vietnam National IOI Team is in the group of 8 countries and territories with the highest results in the Medal draw, after the countries: China, Korea, Rumani, Singapore, Bungary, Hungary and Japan.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the outstanding achievements of the Vietnam National Team at IOI 2025 continue to affirm the position of Vietnamese education in the top intellectual arena, while affirming the right direction in the work of detecting, selecting and training excellent students of the Ministry.
The 37th International Informatics Olympiad (IOI 2025) will be held live from July 27 to August 3, 2025 in the capital Sucre, Bolivia, with the official participation of 330 contestants from 86 countries and territories; Russia and Belarus participating under the Olympic flag.
According to the regulations of the IOI 2025 Council, the exam has two official exam days.
Each day, candidates take a computer programming test for 5 hours, solving 3 problems with rich content. The results are announced directly by the online automatic exam scoring system and the scoreboard throughout the two days of the exam (online).
The IOI 2025 exam is considered to be highly difficult, diverse in types with 6 exams of 6 completely different exam types, requiring candidates to have comprehensive basic knowledge, creativity and flexible thinking.
