New school with many joys
On the morning of September 5th, nearly 870 students of Thuan An Inter-level Boarding Primary and Secondary School (Thuan An commune, Lam Dong) attended the opening ceremony of the new school year 2026 - 2027 in a joyful atmosphere.
This is the first school year that teachers and students of the school study at the new school facility built synchronously with a total investment of 225.94 billion VND.
Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Ho Van Muoi - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee and Mr. Luu Van Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Lam Dong province.
The new school is built on an area of about 5ha, including classroom blocks, subject rooms, administration - library, dormitory, dining - kitchen, teacher dormitory, multi-purpose building, playground - sports and technical infrastructure items.
According to Mr. Nguyen Kien Huyen - Principal of the school, in the 2026 - 2027 school year, the school organizes 30 classes with 869 students, including 18 primary and 12 secondary classes. Of which, 393 boarding students and 476 semi-boarding students.
More than 350 students are children of ethnic minorities, including M'Nong, Tay, Nung, Muong, Khmer, E De, Thai, Dao...
A clean and beautiful new school is a great joy for us. We are also supported with books, school supplies and other policies, so we are all very excited" - H'Dieu, H'Mong ethnicity, a 7A2 student, shared.

Along with new facilities, the school is gradually consolidating its staff to serve teaching and learning work.
Currently, the school has 1 principal, 2 vice principals, 45 teachers and 7 professional and nghiệp vụ contract personnel.
In this school year, 393 boarding students were arranged to eat and stay centrally; 476 semi-boarding students were organized to eat and rest at noon at school.
The school focuses on the quality of meals, nutrition, food safety, and at the same time maintains self-study, sports, culture and life skills education activities.
Ms. H'Li A, a parent whose child is studying at the school, said that her family is very excited that their children are studying at the new school.
The school being built spaciously is proof of the concern and investment of the Party and State for the people in the border area. We are very excited that our children are studying under a full and spacious school roof" - Ms. H'Li A shared.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Ho Van Muoi - Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee - affirmed that putting the school into use contributes to completing educational facilities in the border area, creating conditions for students to study, eat, and live stably right in the area.
Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee praised the investor, construction unit, local authorities, schools, armed forces and units for their efforts and race against time to complete the project on schedule.
With new facilities and a team of teachers gradually being consolidated, the school expects to build a safe and friendly educational environment, contributing to improving the quality of education and developing human resources in the border region.
In the 2026–2027 school year, along with students nationwide, about 830,000 students in Lam Dong joyfully attended the opening ceremony, officially entering the new school year.
