More than 2,000 Ca Mau students take the provincial-level excellent student exam

On March 8, the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province organized the opening ceremony of the provincial-level excellent high school student selection exam for the 2025-2026 school year.

The exam has more than 2,000 candidates from high schools in the province participating in competition. This year, it is organized at 2 exam sites: Ho Thi Ky High School (An Xuyen ward) and Bac Lieu High School (Bac Lieu ward), with a total of 93 exam rooms. Candidates take the exam in 9 subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Literature, History, Geography and English. Among them, Literature is the subject with the largest number of registered candidates with 326 students.

According to the organizers, at the exam site of Ho Thi Ky High School, the unit with the largest number of candidates taking the exam is Phan Ngoc Hien Specialized High School with 145 students. Meanwhile, at the exam site of Bac Lieu High School, Bac Lieu Specialized High School is the unit with the largest number of participating candidates with 172 students.

According to the assessment of the education sector, in recent years, the movement to discover and nurture excellent students at high schools in the province has been increasingly concerned. Many units have proactively developed plans to nurture gifted students right from the beginning of the school year, creating conditions for them to develop their abilities and passion for each subject.

The provincial-level excellent high school student selection exam is a professional activity held annually, which is of great significance in improving the quality of key education in the province. Over the years, the number of candidates registering for the exam has been increasing, and the number of winning candidates has also increased and is evenly distributed in schools in the province. This shows that the good teaching - good learning movement is spreading strongly, contributing to improving the quality of comprehensive education.
