According to the plan to arrange educational institutions for the 2026 - 2027 school year just approved by the Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee, after arrangement, the whole province will reduce 362 schools (educational institutions), equivalent to a decrease of 55.52% compared to before arrangement.
In which, preschools decreased by 151 schools; primary schools decreased by 128 schools; secondary and primary schools decreased by 74 schools; high schools decreased by 6 schools, and at the same time 3 inter-level secondary and high school schools were formed; 5 vocational education - continuing education centers were reduced.
Some localities with large reductions include: Thanh Sen ward reduced from 29 schools to 10 schools; Duc Thinh commune from 20 to 5 schools; Duc Tho commune from 15 to 5 schools; Vu Quang commune from 13 to 3 schools; Tu My commune from 12 to 3 schools; Huong Son commune from 12 to 4 schools; Tran Phu ward from 11 to 4 schools.
On August 8, Mr. Nguyen Anh Duc - Chairman of Duc Thinh Commune People's Committee - said that according to the plan to arrange educational institutions approved by Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee, the number of schools in Duc Thinh commune will decrease from 20 to 5 schools.
According to Mr. Duc, the locality will closely follow the guidance of the Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee to select and arrange management officials. In which, priority is given to people with good experience, capacity and moral qualities to continue to take on management tasks at educational institutions.
We will select management officials in a transparent and objective manner, affirming that there will be no negativity" - Mr. Duc said.
In Vu Quang commune, Ms. Phan Thi Hong Yen - Chairwoman of the Commune People's Committee - said that this is a mountainous area with wide administrative boundaries, so arranging educational institutions will face many difficulties.
However, the locality will make efforts and determination to create consensus to implement the arrangement according to the general policy nationwide.
Ms. Yen affirmed that the local leadership will base on the province's guidance, seriously implement the selection and arrangement of management officials of educational institutions to ensure accuracy, objectivity and transparency.
Leaders of many other communes and wards in Ha Tinh province also affirmed that they will closely follow the province's guidance to promptly and seriously implement the arrangement of management staff when arranging educational institutions.
According to the decision approving the plan to arrange educational institutions for the 2026 - 2027 school year of Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee, after the merger, people with professional capacity, good management capacity and high sense of responsibility will be prioritized to be arranged as principals and vice principals.
For areas and schools that are still lacking management staff, suitable management staff transfer will be implemented. In case communes, wards, and units are still lacking management staff, it will be proposed to transfer personnel to ensure requirements.
For redundant management officials who wish to retire, localities consider and resolve according to regulations. The remaining officials are arranged to be teachers directly teaching according to appropriate expertise.
After arrangement, Ha Tinh province is expected to arrange 2,395 management officials and staff, reducing 611 people.
According to each level of education, the preschool block reduced 304 management staff and employees; primary school reduced 187 people; secondary school and primary and secondary school reduced 89 people; high school reduced 8 people; vocational education - continuing education reduced 23 people.
