In the afternoon of April 23, the National Assembly discussed in the hall the results of supervising the resolution of voters' petitions sent to the 10th Session, 15th National Assembly.
Delegate Nguyen Van Canh (Gia Lai Delegation) said that currently, many voters have proposed that the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) on tutoring and extra classes still have many inadequacies.
According to the delegate, if good investment is made in the digital infrastructure of the education sector, the problem of extra tutoring can be solved better.
In my opinion, the concern of teachers for students and the respect of students for teachers has gradually changed, including reasons related to the fact that some teachers are not objective about scores between students taking extra classes and students not taking extra classes," the delegate said.

Delegate Doan Gia Lai said that weak students need to consolidate basic knowledge to meet requirements, good students need to be fostered and improved to participate in excellent student exams, and average-good students need to be reviewed to get into good schools. Thus, most tutoring is good.
Teachers tutoring their own students has the advantage of understanding students' abilities, thereby better systemizing knowledge, and promptly compensating for unclear parts in class.
Teachers can also pay more attention to students' moods when they do not have enough time to exchange with them in class, helping to save time and be safer for them compared to studying outside of school.
If students and parents are allowed to choose their own teachers, teachers are allowed to teach students and parents entrust them not to favor grades, then this is a very good condition for children to both study etiquette and literature.
We also create conditions for extra classes at the center if parents see that the teachers there are suitable for their children's abilities and family economic conditions.
To implement this, the delegate proposed a way to assess students' actual abilities correctly, which is to organize regular and periodic tests in the form of online exam questions.
Test questions are randomly created according to a matrix from thousands of questions for each difficulty level, from a question bank managed by the Ministry of Education and Training itself. The questions are selected online immediately before starting the test, and the answers are sent back online immediately after the test time ends.
The delegate said that if this proposal is accepted, students will definitely learn truthfully, have real ability and the results will be consistent with their ability.
To ensure that this assessment method is applied soon, the delegate proposed that the Ministry of Education and Training guide which schools are eligible to apply the form of online test questions from the question bank managed by the Ministry, then that school is allowed to have teachers tutor their own students.
