The exhibition is organized by the Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam (Hanoi) in collaboration with the Hai Phong City Museum. The exhibition "The Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam and the tradition of Hai Phong's examination system" is distilled from hundreds of documents to recreate the formation and development process of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, one of the most important heritages of the capital Hanoi, a symbol of Vietnamese culture and intelligence, while honoring the tradition of studiousness as well as the cultural celebrities of Hai Phong.
The exhibition includes two main themes: the theme "Temple of Literature - Imperial Academy - The Quintessence of Vietnamese Confucianism" with the contents of Temple of Knowledge, Cultivating Talents, Journey of Examinations, Stone History conveying the message that the Temple of Literature - Imperial Academy is a place where the quintessence of Vietnamese Confucianism converges, including the important contributions of cultural celebrities: King Ly Thanh Tong, King Ly Nhan Tong, King Le Thanh Tong and Rector of Imperial Academy Chu Van An.
The theme "Hai Phong's tradition of mandarin examinations" with the contents of the Golden List with names, Golden List of winners, Scholars of the Eastern Region, Mandarin families, Doctoral Village, Confucian relics reviews the achievements of the mandarin examinations in Hai Phong with the imprint of typical mandarin celebrities.
