Speaking at the conference, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Xuan Hung emphasized that the Hai Phong City Labor Federation is the first unit in the country to organize the Technical Innovation Contest for union members and workers in the city five times. Hai Phong is also the leading locality in the number of Creative Labor Certificates from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Praising the achievements of all levels of the Trade Union, union members, and employees of the city, the Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor requested the Hai Phong City Labor Federation to continue promoting patriotic emulation movements, focusing on the emulation movements of excellent workers and creative workers, arousing the potential, intelligence, and creativity of union members and employees in each field. In particular, focusing on researching and implementing solutions and initiatives to apply in practice, creating many high-quality products and works, meeting the requirements of regional and international economic integration.
Hai Phong City's trade unions at all levels actively advise and propose to the city's leaders, city authorities and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in resolving issues related to trade union activities and the workers' movement as well as policies and mechanisms to encourage workers to participate in scientific research...
In addition, trade unions at all levels focus on coordinating to resolve pressing issues among employees, improving the material and spiritual life of employees. In the immediate future, during the New Year and Lunar New Year 2025, the city's trade unions at all levels will pay attention to, coordinate to take care of, and supervise the implementation of policies and regimes, stabilize labor relations, limit illegal collective work stoppages and complaints beyond the level of authority...
The second technical innovation contest among union members and employees of the city in 2023-2024 attracted 540 entries, a 250% increase in the number of entries compared to the previous contest. The solutions were submitted by union members and employees of 25 participating units (including 21/23 trade unions at the grassroots level and 5 affiliated grassroots trade unions and central enterprises in the area). Many projects and solutions with high levels of creativity and science and technology have made important contributions to the development of units and enterprises and contributed to the socio-economic development of the city.
Of the 540 solutions participating in the contest, there are 14 solutions in the fields of agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and seafood processing; 123 solutions in the field of machinery manufacturing and equipment improvement for production; 63 solutions in the field of electricity, electronics, telecommunications, and information technology; 42 solutions in the field of biotechnology, medicine, energy, chemicals, resources, and environment. The remaining 298 solutions are in the fields of education and other fields.
As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded First Prize to 3 authors and groups of authors; 9 Second Prizes, 17 Third Prizes and 34 Encouragement Prizes. The Hai Phong City Labor Federation also commended 6 groups with many solutions to participate in the competition and win prizes.
The 3 solutions that won First Prize in the contest include:
- Solution "Using low-cost unmanned aerial vehicles in building digital data on orthographic maps of current forest resources and forestry land using the ground control image irrigation system method" by the group of authors Do Tuan Anh, Mac Binh An, Hai Phong City Forest Protection Department.
- Solution "Improving automation of CDH74 and CDRH74 production lines" by the group of authors Nguyen Thai Hai, Dinh Van Ngoc, Nguyen The Luong, Sumida Vietnam Electronics Co., Ltd.
- Solution "Building THPOn application on digital platforms" by the group of authors Luong Hai Au, Phan Manh Cuong, Hai Phong Radio and Television Station.
