On the morning of May 13, Power Generation Corporation 1, Dong Nai Hydropower Company coordinated with Quang Khe Commune People's Committee to organize the groundbreaking ceremony of Kim Dong Primary School project. This is a project of practical significance to strengthen facilities for teaching and learning in the area.
The project includes a 3-story classroom building with 12 classrooms, 6 subject rooms and a synchronous system of equipment and technical infrastructure.
The total investment of the project is more than 17 billion VND, sponsored by Dong Nai Hydropower Company - Branch of Power Generation Corporation 1.
Currently, Kim Dong Primary School has 36 classrooms with 1,428 students, but there is still a shortage of specialized subject classrooms and it does not meet the needs of teaching and learning.
The investment in new classrooms is expected to reduce the pressure on facilities, contributing to improving the quality of comprehensive education.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Mai Van Tung - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of Quang Khe Commune People's Committee emphasized that the project is of great political, economic and social significance, contributing to gradually standardizing school facilities, meeting the requirements of improving the quality of education in the area.
This is also the practical concern of businesses for the local education cause.
Representative of the sponsoring unit, Mr. Ho Sy Hung - Deputy Director of Dong Nai Hydropower Company said that this is one of the key sponsoring projects of the unit to build a more spacious and modern learning environment for local teachers and students.
In addition to investing in building classrooms, in the coming time, the unit will continue to implement scholarship programs for students in difficult circumstances, contributing to accompanying the locality in social security and education development.
