According to the decision of the People's Committee of Lam Dong province on the New School Year Time Plan for preschool education, general education and continuing education, the opening day is agreed on September 5 every year.

Students are allowed to start school the earliest 1 week before the opening day. For 1st, 9th and 12th grade students, they are allowed to start school the earliest 2 weeks to have more time to get acquainted with the learning environment and prepare for important learning stages.
According to the plan, the school year is organized to ensure 35 weeks of actual study, including 18 weeks in the first semester and 17 weeks in the second semester.
Semester I is completed before January 18; semester II completes the program and ends the school year before May 31 every year.
The consideration of recognizing the completion of the primary and secondary school programs will be carried out before July 30. 6. The enrollment work for the first grades will be completed before July 31.
For the high school graduation exam, according to the plan, it is expected to be held on the 11th and 12th of June every year. National-level exams are implemented according to the regulations and guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training.
The provincial excellent student selection exam for grade 12 and enrollment in grade 10 specialized high schools are organized according to a separate annual plan.
A noteworthy point is that the annual leave period for teachers is arranged flexibly.
Teachers can take leave during the summer or be arranged to take leave interspersed at other times during the school year, in accordance with the characteristics of each grade level, school year plan and actual conditions of the educational institution.
The Department of Education and Training is responsible for guiding and ensuring teachers' leave time in the school year according to regulations.
According to the People's Committee of Lam Dong province, the unification of the school year time frame aims to create proactiveness for educational institutions in developing teaching plans; and at the same time help students, parents and teachers conveniently prepare and arrange work in each stage.
Directors of Departments of Education and Training, Chairmen of People's Committees of communes, wards, special zones and relevant agencies and units are responsible for organizing the implementation, ensuring that the school year time plan is implemented uniformly and in accordance with the actual conditions of the locality.
