On October 5, social networks in Hue spread articles and clips recording the scene of a female student being surrounded by a group of friends, grabbed by knees and wrapped in arms.
In the clip, the female student was pulled hair and slapped in the face by a classmate. The clip after being posted caused outrage, many people commented suggesting that the school take measures to handle, rectify, and condemn school violence.
On the same day, the leader of the People's Committee of Thuan Hoa Ward (Hue City) said that he had received information related to the incident of an 8th grade female student being beaten by a friend and forced to stand on her knee.
The incident occurred at Nguyen Chi Dieu Secondary School on the afternoon of October 2. After the incident, the school invited parents and students involved to work, and mobilized the medical and psychological department of the school to support and help students stabilize their health and spirit.
