On July 27, according to Lao Dong, the People's Committee of Lang Son province has just agreed on the policy of proposing to invest in building new high schools in some key areas to meet learning needs after merging administrative units.
According to the report of the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board and the Department of Construction, the People's Committee of Lang Son province has agreed in principle to allow the implementation of individual projects to speed up the construction of new high schools in Huu Lung, Cao Loc, Loc Binh districts and Lang Son city. Estimated number of schools 4.
The two locations identified as meeting the conditions for construction planning and land use are Keo Be village (Thong Nhat commune) with an area of 3.61ha and Na Chuong village (Dong Kinh ward) with an area of 3.0ha.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Finance to guide the Project Management Board to implement the investment policy proposal at these locations first, and at the same time advise on adjusting the investment preparation portfolio if necessary.
Along with that, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Education and Training to urgently complete the Project to establish new high schools in the above localities, ensuring completion before August 10, 2025. This is to meet the increased learning needs after the rearrangement of administrative units.
The People's Committees of the communes and wards: Ky Lua, Dong Kinh, Cai Kinh, Tuan Son and Thong Nhat are required to review and provide information on construction planning and land use planning at locations where schools are expected to be built, and send it to the Department of Education and Training before the end of July 2025.
The authorities of the localities of Ky Lua, Cai Kinh and Tuan Son are also assigned the task of urgently adjusting, updating or re-establishing the necessary plans to be eligible to submit the project, with a deadline of no later than the first quarter of 2026.
Previously, the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board posted information to find a contractor for the project to Upgrade and Expand Cao Loc High School.
Accordingly, the project to upgrade and expand Cao Loc High School (old Cao Loc town, Cao Loc district, now in Ky Lua ward) was approved by the People's Committee of Lang Son province under Decision No. 611/QD-UBND dated March 11, 2025.
This is a Group C project with a total investment of nearly 35 billion VND, the Lang Son Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board is assigned as the project investor.
