HCMC - The Department of Education and Training (District 1) has set up a working group to meet with the teacher to get more information about the laptop support request.

On October 1, the Department of Education of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City held a meeting and exchanged information with the press regarding the incident "Parents are upset because the teacher asked for laptop support" at Chuong Duong Primary School (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City).

Mr. Vo Cao Long - Head of the Department of Education and Training of District 1 said that, regarding the above incident, the Department of Education and Training of District 1 will resolutely handle cases of law violations (if any), not cover up violations. Open, transparent, clarify public information.

Currently, the Board of Directors of Chuong Duong Primary School has asked Ms. H to clarify the content related to her that is being posted on social networks before October 3.

"On the evening of September 30, the Board of Directors of Chuong Duong School quickly established a working group including representatives of the Department of Education, Party Committee, School Board of Directors, School Union, and People's Inspectorate to meet and encourage Ms. H," said Mr. Long.

According to Mr. Long, the purpose of coming to meet and encourage Ms. H was to find out information and grasp her thoughts. "There may be decisions that are timely and sometimes hasty. The working group came to her house to find out information, feelings, and thoughts," Mr. Long explained.

According to Mr. Long, the People's Committee of District 1 has assigned the Department of Finance and Planning to coordinate with relevant units to check the revenue and expenditure at the beginning of the school year of schools in the area.

"After this incident, in the near future, I will direct the assignment of personnel to monitor, share, and grasp the content of educational institutions in the area to promptly remove difficulties and handle arising issues," Mr. Long emphasized.

Sharing more about the incident, Mr. Vo Cao Long said that teacher H's statements in the incident were not appropriate for her as a teacher.

Although the teacher admitted her mistake and promised to correct it, many parents attending the meeting expressed their disagreement with the teacher continuing to teach or transferring their children to another class.

Yesterday (September 30), Chuong Duong Primary School decided to temporarily suspend Ms. T.P.H - homeroom teacher of class 4/3, and head of grade 4. The suspension period is 15 days.

At the same time, assign another teacher to take charge of class 4/3 to replace Ms. H.

Previously, as Lao Dong reported, Ms. T.P.H, homeroom teacher of class 4/3 at Chuong Duong Primary School, requested laptop support, but did not receive the consensus of many parents.

Ms. H then refused to accept support but informed the parents that she would not prepare a review outline. Ms. H agreed on the review lesson and the parents reviewed it for their children themselves.

During the meeting between parents, the school and Ms. T.P.H on September 24, 27/38 parents of students in class 4/3 attended.

At this meeting, teacher T.P.H said that she had caused parents to misunderstand her intentions through messages in the class group.

"I was wrong to encourage parents to equip themselves with laptops, and wrong to keep the class fund," Ms. H's words were recorded in the meeting minutes.

The female teacher also apologized to the school leaders and parents of the 4/3 class students and promised to correct any mistakes she made.
