Accordingly, the 2024-2025 school year time plan framework for preschool education, general education and continuing education applied nationwide is as follows:
School starts at least 1 week before the opening day. For grade 1, school starts at least 2 weeks before the opening day.
Opening ceremony on September 5, 2024.
Finish semester I before January 18, 2025, complete the program and end the school year before May 31, 2025.
Consider recognition of completion of primary school program and consider recognition of secondary school graduation before June 30, 2025.
Complete enrollment for first grade classes before July 31, 2025.
The 2025 high school graduation exam is scheduled to take place on June 26 and 27, 2025.
Other national exams are organized according to regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Accordingly, general education institutions will end semester 1 before January 18, 2025, complete the program and end the school year before May 31, 2025.
Based on the 2022-2023 school year schedule issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, localities will decide on the summer vacation schedule for preschool, primary, secondary and high school students and teachers, but must ensure the summer vacation time before May 31, 2025.
In Ha Tinh province, according to the school year plan framework, the first semester will end before January 18, 2025, the second semester education plan will be completed before May 25, 2025, and the school year will end before May 31, 2025.
In Vinh Phuc, the end of semester I is before January 18, 2025; the program is completed and the school year is finished before May 31, 2025.
In Ho Chi Minh City, students at schools in the city will finish the school year no later than May 31, 2025.
In Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, according to the school year plan, the school year summary date for students at all levels is as follows:
Preschool and primary school: From May 24 to May 30, 2025;
Secondary and High School, Continuing Education: From May 26 to 30, 2025.
