Hope students master technology, master modern knowledge

The 2026-2027 school year opens with new expectations. Students hope to have more opportunities to experience and orient their future; teachers expect educational innovations to become more substantive, reduce pressure and create conditions to better care for learners.

Looking forward to a year of learning with many experiences

For 12th grade students, the day of returning to school in the final school year brings intertwined emotions. Ahead is the high school graduation exam, choices of majors and careers; behind is the years of students gradually closing.

Nguyen Minh Dang - a 12th grade student at Luong The Vinh Secondary & High School (Tan Trieu campus, Hanoi) - said that he is both excited and has a little pressure when entering the new school year. “This is the final year, so I cannot avoid the pressure before the high school graduation exam. But besides that, there is a feeling of excitement and emotion as time with friends and teachers is gradually shortening. Therefore, I cherish every moment of this school year” - Minh Dang shared. Not only setting goals for academic results, the male student hopes that the final year will have more practical experiences. The male student expects the school to strengthen extracurricular activities, focus on applicability, and organize workshops on career orientation, psychology and study abroad.

For male students, such activities not only help students gain more knowledge outside of books but also help them understand what they want, what they are suitable for and better prepare for the journey after high school.

Improve quality, reduce pressure

For those who directly teach, what is expected is not only new policies, but more importantly, substantive changes in each teaching hour, each class.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - a teacher at Pa Cheo Ethnic Minority Boarding Primary and Secondary School (Lao Cai province) - feels happy when life, policies for teachers are increasingly concerned, and income and allowances are improved. When teachers are better cared for, female teachers believe that teachers will feel secure in their work and dedicate more enthusiasm to students.

“The implementation of two-level local governments, arranging and reorganizing the school network, along with the orientation of reducing competitions and formal activities, if implemented reasonably, will contribute to reducing pressure. Thereby, teachers have more time to focus on expertise and take care of students.

I don't expect highland schools to be like schools in the plains, I just hope that highland students have the best learning opportunities in their own conditions and that teachers in difficult places still always feel that the work they are doing is appreciated" - Ms. Thuy said.

In the new school year, Ms. Truong Thi Khanh Hoa - a teacher at A Luoi High School (Hue city) - places high hopes on digital transformation, from equipping students with digital skills, expanding learning resources to using technology as a bridge for highland students to access knowledge and spread the cultural identity of their homeland.

I hope that highland students will be fully equipped with digital skills. They need to access technology and new learning methods more quickly, gradually breaking down geographical barriers to confidently master modern knowledge. In that journey, teachers must be pioneers in digital transformation and innovation in teaching methods.

And perhaps, my biggest wish is that A Luoi highland students can master digital technology, open the door of knowledge to the world, and at the same time use that technology as a bridge to preserve, promote and fully promote the national cultural identity of their homeland" - Ms. Khanh Hoa confided.
