Regarding the case of a 10th grade student studying at An Thoi High School (Mo Cay Nam District, Ben Tre Province) being beaten by a group of students in the classroom, on October 24, Ms. La Thi Thuy - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ben Tre Province - said that the school has asked the students involved in the beating to write a self-criticism. Based on this, the nature and extent of the punishment for the students involved in the above incident will be considered.
According to Ms. Thuy, the parents of the four students involved in the incident have agreed to educate them.
Previously on October 17, at An Thoi High School, there was an incident where 3 students beat up another student in the classroom. The student who was beaten is currently in 10th grade at this school.
According to the video clip, a male student was sitting at his desk when three other students started talking; after a while of talking, the three students rushed in and started beating him up. One of the three students jumped up and kicked the male student, making him unable to get up.
