Nghe An - Nearly 50,000 students in the province have come to the exam sites to check information, preparing to enter the 10th grade entrance exam.

On May 24, more than 49,000 candidates in Nghe An came to the exam sites to see the exam site map, check exam room information, and be ready for the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2026 - 2027 school year, officially taking place on May 25-26.

According to the Nghe An Department of Education and Training, the whole province has 49,392 candidates registered to take the exam at 69 exam councils, 73 exam sites with 2,092 exam rooms. To serve the exam, the Education sector mobilized nearly 7,000 participants, including 69 exam council chairmen, 5,403 invigilators and supervisors.

The weather in Nghe An in recent days has been scorching hot, so the preparation of facilities is particularly focused on by the exam sites. Schools have reviewed the electrical system, fans, air conditioners, drinking water, medical rooms, and reserve medicines to ensure the best conditions for candidates during the exam.

Besides exam sites in the central area, support for candidates in remote and isolated areas is also concerned by localities. At Nghe An Ethnic Minority Boarding High School, more than 700 candidates, mainly from remote and isolated communes, ethnic minority areas, were present to complete exam procedures.

The school arranges volunteer youth forces to welcome and guide candidates and parents. Students in difficult circumstances are facilitated to stay in dormitories during the exam days. The school also contacted a number of accommodation establishments near the exam site to support room discounts for parents and candidates who need to rent rooms.

Along with preparing facilities, the Nghe An Department of Education and Training requested the exam councils to strengthen the prevention of high-tech fraud, carefully check the exam room area, toilets, and surveillance camera systems; absolutely do not allow candidates to bring phones or transceiver devices into the exam room.

The entrance exam to 10th grade in Nghe An province in 2026 takes place 9 days earlier than in previous years. The education sector and localities have developed contingency plans for extreme weather situations such as harsh sun, flooding, flash floods; and at the same time prepared plans to support candidates with health problems, needing medicine or emergency care.

Schools are also required to review students in particularly difficult circumstances to advise Party committees and local authorities to have support measures, ensuring that no candidates are affected by the exam due to difficulties.
