After the historic flood swept through Dong Hoa ward (Dak Lak), Le Trung Kien High School appeared like a picture covered with traces of natural disasters.
mud covered tables and chairs, many equipment were damaged, the fence and the garbage house collapsed, the records and documents were soaked in water and deformed. In that chaotic scene, the spirit of teachers and students is still resilient, determined to restore the school for more than 1,100 students to return to school soon.
In recent days, leaders, teachers, police, military and students of the University of the Pacific have worked hard to clean up, dry documents, and clean up every classroom and every corner.

Vice Principal Nguyen Thi Thom said: "The foundation and entrance are eroded, the mud in the classroom is very thick, and many equipment are damaged. Overcoming the consequences of the flood is extremely difficult, impossible to do in one day or two".
Principal Le Tan Dung also cleaned each room and set of tables and chairs himself, hoping to reopen the classroom for students soon.
Recalling the moment the floodwaters rose, Mr. Dung said: On November 19, the water rose to 1.5 meters, sweeping away many sections of the fence and the parking lot. The teacher only had time to put the documents on the table. We were stuck for 2 nights a day at the Preventive Medicine Center, lacking food, only holding a few mangoes and a bottle of filtered water".
When the water receded, the 3km journey home was still full of risks, and he and his colleagues had to step by step through the rushing water.
"Coming home and seeing my relatives safe, I was really relieved. The lost assets can be compensated, as long as the family is safe and happy," Mr. Dung emotionally shared.

Le Trung Kien High School currently has 1,188 students in 27 classes. Fortunately, none of the children were injured, but many families were deeply flooded and suffered heavy damage; their books and school supplies were also swept away by the water.
In addition to overcoming the facilities, teachers also spent time encouraging students, helping them overcome the shock after natural disasters. Mr. Dung called for the cooperation of benefactors so that students can study with peace of mind, after their journey to school was interrupted by storm No. 13 and more floods.
Amidst the mud, moisture and remaining desolations, the image of teachers and students of Le Trung Kien High School quietly cleaning, their hands covered in mud but their hearts full of determination, became a vivid testament to their resilience and love for the profession.
Every small action - wiping the table, drying the records, scooping up every block of mud - is filled with dedication and consensus, sending a strong message about the determination to stand up after natural disasters.
