On May 8, Phuoc Hung Secondary School (Tuy Phuoc District, Binh Dinh) reported to the District People's Committee about the incident in which an 8th grade student of the school was beaten by a young man outside the school and posted a clip on social media.
According to the report, at about 9:15 p.m. on May 6, the school received information from the homeroom teacher of class 8A4 about Le Duc K being beaten by a young man named Chau Duy Hoang (born in 2010, residing in Phuoc Hung commune, Tuy Phuoc district) at a cafe in Nhon An commune (An Nhon town).
By the evening of the same day, a clip appeared on Facebook recording K being brutally beaten by a young man.
Immediately after the incident, the school identified and invited 6 students (Phuoc Hung Secondary School) involved to work, including: Le Duc K, Le Tuan A, Nguyen Thi Hong N, Nguyen Thi Tuong V, Le Tuan A, Ngo Quoc B.
The verification results showed that on the afternoon of April 29, K was on the run to a classmate's house when Hoang blocked his way and beat him.
At 2:00 p.m. on May 5, Hoang had asked K to go to the cafe to talk. Here, Hoang used metal tools and hands to repeatedly hit K in the face and head. After that, K was taken by his mother to the An Nhon District Medical Center for treatment.
The school has coordinated with parents and homeroom teachers to handle students who violated the rules, and at the same time organized visits and encouragement for K after the incident.
In response to the above incident, the school requested local leaders and Phuoc Hung Commune Police to strictly handle the incident in accordance with regulations, in order to protect the health and safety of students and prevent similar incidents from recurring.
Phuoc Hung Commune Police (Tuy Phuoc District) determined that K had a previous conflict with Hoang and some classmates.
On the same day, the leader of Tuy Phuoc District People's Committee said that the locality is waiting for an official report from the authorities to have a basis to direct the strict handling of the incident.
