School supports students who were assaulted
Lao Dong Newspaper recently reported on the case of a male student in Lao Cai ward being chased and assaulted by a group of students from other schools.
On June 3, according to reporters' sources, relevant units have organized meetings, verified and implemented handling measures.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thu Loan - Vice Principal of Hoang Hoa Tham Secondary School, through initial verification, D.P. A, an 8A student of the school, was assaulted by a group of students of Kim Tan Secondary School.

The school's report shows that before the incident occurred, D.P. A was once beaten with a stick by a student of Kim Tan Secondary School, although there was no conflict between the two sides.
After that, this group of students continued to act as assault, causing the male student to be affected in terms of health and spirit.
As a result, D.P. A suffered from headaches, mental panic and had to be treated at Lao Cai Provincial General Hospital No. 2.
Grasping the situation, Hoang Hoa Tham Secondary School has assigned management staff and homeroom teachers to organize visits and encourage students and their families. At the same time, monitor their health and psychological condition during treatment.

The school also coordinated with parents, local authorities and functional agencies to clarify the incident.
On the side of Kim Tan Secondary School, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Giang - Vice Principal of the school said that immediately after grasping the information, the Board of Directors reviewed the related students and coordinated with parents to verify the incident.
The school requires students to write reports, strictly comply with regulations and rules on prevention of school violence. At the same time, it is committed to closely coordinating with functional agencies in the process of verification and handling.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Long - Head of the Culture and Social Department of Lao Cai ward, said that although in the past time, the locality and schools have regularly implemented propaganda, moral education, life skills and prevention of school violence, the case of students fighting is regrettable.
According to Mr. Long, the units will continue to monitor the health situation of D.P. A to promptly encourage and support.
We request Kim Tan Secondary School to work with parents and related students, organize reviews of violations; strengthen educational measures to prevent school violence," Mr. Long added.

Lieutenant Colonel Trieu Duc Thao - Deputy Head of Lao Cai Ward Police said that, according to initial assessment, this is a case of school violence, affecting the health and psychology of students and negatively impacting the educational environment in the area.
Currently, Lao Cai Ward Police are collecting testimonies, reviewing documents, images and related evidence to clarify the causes and extent of violations of each individual, as a basis for handling according to regulations.
Talking to reporters, Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Dung - Vice Chairwoman of Lao Cai Ward People's Committee affirmed that she has requested units to continue to verify the entire diễn biến of the incident, ensuring objective and lawful handling; and at the same time protecting the legitimate rights and interests, health and psychological safety of students.
